Jeff Russo earned an honours BA
from the University of Toronto with a major in
Political Science and a minor in Philosophy and
attended law school at the University of Ottawa
before embarking on a career in the fitness industry.
Driven by a passion for fitness instilled by his
father at a young age Jeff began as a personal
trainer in 1986. By the early 1990's a new found
interest and appreciation for the business side
of the industry developed. Jeff found himself
working in sales and management while maintaining
closeness to his fitness origins by working with
Fitness Consultants and Personal Trainers to develop
the leading personal training sales program in
the industry.
After several years of working as an area supervisor
for one of Canada's leading fitness chains Jeff
made the shift to consulting and co-partnered
The Edge Fitness Business Consulting with Stacy
Clark in 1998. After several years on the road
designing and implementing The Edge's business
consulting systems in Canada and the USA solid
relationships have been forged with numerous club
owners and staff. As Jeff embarks on a new phase
of his business development, moving away from
the day to day consulting projects to managing
his consultants and working on his organization,
his passions for fitness and most of all his commitment
and devotion to bettering people's lives on all
levels remain at the forefront of his life's work.

Stacy Clark

Stacy Clark earned a Masters of
Environmental Studies / Urban Planning through
York University in Toronto and conducted 2 years
of PhD work in urban / economic geography at Queen's
University. Stacy's grassroots experience within
the fitness industry began when she enrolled in
a fitness club at the age of 14 and began instructing
at the age of 16. An ACE certified instructor
with a myriad of experience that spans 20 years
within the industry in areas of club management,
management training, consulting, membership and
personal training sales, marketing, club administration
and coordinator of fitness programming, Stacy
combines here passion for fitness with outstanding
management, research, communication, instructional
and written skills to deliver exceptional consulting
programs and results.
Motivated by a desire to further the professionalism
of the fitness industry, help fitness professionals
develop more rewarding careers and in doing so,
provide more meaningful service to fitness club
members, Stacy made the shift to consulting in
1998 when she co-partnered The Edge Fitness Business
Consulting with Jeff Russo. Having spent several
years designing, refining and implementing The
Edge's business consulting systems in Canada,
she has moved away from day to day consulting
to focus her attention on the development of The
Edge as it continues to expand and grow. She continues
to be involved in program development, the creation
of business plans and client relations. In addition,
Stacy continues to work as a mother as well as
a yoga, BodyFlow and BodyPump instructor.

Jon Johnson

Jon Johnson earned an Associates
Degree in Business Management while attending
University in Florida, after which he returned
to England to attain his honors BA in Marketing
from the University of Bournemouth. Jon has over
5 years experience in marketing and sales within
the Leisure Industry, starting out his career
with Clubhaus PLC the largest owner operators
of golf & country clubs in Europe. Jon managed
the Marketing for one of the largest revenue producing
clubs in the 36 club chain. After relocating to
Toronto, Jon was able to parlay his marketing
and management skills into a successful career
in the fitness industry. Jon has worked with and
for numerous fitness clubs across Canada and the
USA and excels in areas of membership and personal
training sales as well as club management. Now
as a senior consultant for The Edge, Jon combines
a wealth of hands on experience with outstanding
communication skills. His no nonsense, hard work
ethic and outstanding ability to meet and exceed
financial targets makes him an invaluable asset
to The Edge organization.

Murray Middlemost

Murray Middlemost’s educational
background is in business, which facilitated his
transition into the fitness industry in 1994 as
manager of a small club. Under Murray’s supervision,
this underdeveloped club has relocated and increased
in size from 4,600 to 11,000 square feet as well
as significantly increasing the membership base
by more than 10 fold. Recently Murray has designed
and expanded to a second, equally large facility.
As owner of Phoenix Fitness, Murray is dedicated
to a relationship in wellness in the community.
His comprehensive knowledge and firsthand experience
in all aspects of health & fitness and his passion
for the industry are surpassed only by his commitment
to customer service. Currently, Murray provides
individualized service to over 2,500 members and
manages a cohesive team of 50 employees. In addition
to Murray’s renowned reputation for customer care
and his own personal experience as an accomplished
athlete in weight training, Murray’s in-depth
understanding of membership services as well as
his astute knowledge of personal training systems
and sales ensures the continuing success and growth
of his clubs.

Chris Naudi

Chris Naudi earned a Diploma in
Physical Fitness and Leisure Management from Cambrian
College in Sudbury, Ontario. He has continued
his studies through literature and courses, including
Dale Carnegie's, Effective Speaking and Human
Relations.
Chris started working in the fitness industry
in 1998 and hasn't looked back since. He has held
positions in Personal Training/Consulting, Personal
Training Sales, Membership Sales, and Management.
Completing a business plan to open his own facility
he was reinforced on the importance of business
systems and hiring the right people and the role
they play in the long-term success of a facility.
He then decided to put this venture on hold to
assist other future and present club owners with
these priorities in mind as a Business Consultant.

Jennifer Poljacik
As RVC's Fitness Director, Jen is responsible
for overseeing the six departments related to
fitness and programming. Jen manages 70-plus employees
at the River Valley Club, and through her successful
leadership the personal training program has thrived
as the number one revenue-producing program in
New England. Jen earns her stripes on the front
lines of the fitness industry: she is not only
a Master Personal Trainer, but with a Bachelors
Degree in Sports Club Management from Lyndon State
College and multiple certifications through NASM,
PES, ACE, Madd Dogg Athletics and Apex, Jen is
the ultimate overachiever. Whether she is leading
a group class as a Spinning Instructor or reaching
out to her many employees, Jen combines gritty
intensity with the ability to bring different
personalities together for a single purpose. With
over fourteen years in the fitness industry, Jen's
enthusiasm for fitness and gift for creating quality
programs is the cornerstone of RVC's success.
Candidate's Statement
Jen is currently serving on the board of Directors
for NEHRSA. I enjoy learning and sharing fitness
industry information that can help us all become
more successful at serving our members. My desire
is to help as many people everyday that I can.
There is no better industry in which to achieve
this goal than the health and fitness industry.

Sean Walpole

Sean Walpole
Sean Walpole studied Television Production and
Broadcast Journalism at Seneca College before
embarking on a successful stint in Toronto's film
production industry. In 2002, he moved on to start
his own company restoring and marketing vintage
musical instruments.
His background as an athlete, both in football
and rugby, made the fitness industry an obvious
next challenge. He is on the Executive of the
Toronto Buccaneers Rugby Club as well as being
an active player. He also serves as an Assistant
Coach with the Scarborough Minor Football Association.
He has NCCP coaching certification and is constantly
trying to further the success and profile of those
organizations and of amateur sport in Canada.
Sean has a diverse experience in the Fitness
Industry, having served in the capacity of Membership
Sales, Fitness Centre Manager and Club Manager.
His communication skills and passion for active
lifestyle aid him in his desire to assist both
clubs and individuals succeed, regardless of their
goals.

Vince Delmonte

Vince Delmonte
Vince DelMonte has worked in the trenches the
past five years as the Head Personal Trainer and
Fitness Consultant for a number of North American
fitness clubs. Vince entered the fitness industry
after completing an Honours Kinesiology degree
at the University of Western Ontario and has a
reputation for specializing in personal training
sales and club management. He was the first member
using the Edge's Pro-Fitness Program to earn six
figures as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Consultant.
Vince brings a wealth of experience to the Edge. From

Adrian Duyzer

Adrian Duyzer
Adrian Duyzer earned a diploma in Computer Science:
Software Engineering from Mohawk College of Applied
Arts and Technology before launching his first
software startup company in 2000.
Inspired by generations of tinkerers, inventors
and engineers in his family, Adrian started programming
in the BASIC computer language when his family
purchased their first computer. He was 11 years
old. Real success at writing software required
post-secondary education, however, and once this
was gained Adrian quickly propelled himself to
the forefront of modern systems engineering and
application development.
Adrian is currently Senior Web Developer at The
Edge Fitness Business Consulting. He is responsible
for PFP Track, The Edge's advanced online personal
training consulting and appointment booking system.
